Foods that require a considerable amount of energy to digest while providing the least amount of energy, may aid in burning fat. These fat burning foods can help you lose weight and shed excess body fat. So try using some of these foods when planning your next meals:
Eggs are high in protein and contain vitamin B12 which helps your body break down and burn fat.
Beans are high in protein, fibre and iron.
Lean cuts of meat have a low fat content if any.

Fish such as salmon and tuna are not only a good source of protein but also of essential omega-3 fatty acids, which are the good fats.  Salmon and tuna also help boost your immune system so try eating these foods three times a week.
Tofu is a very good source of protein, specifically soy protein.  This is a great addition to any meal plan but is especially great for vegetarians.
The calcium and protein in low fat or fat free dairy products promotes weight loss and, apart from strengthening bones as well, it also helps to maintain muscle mass.  By maintaining muscle mass you are burning more fat and calories because muscles are more metabolically demanding.  Low fat or skimmed milk, yoghurts and cheeses are great sources of calcium.
Vitamin C is the secret to burning fat because the vitamin reduces fat’s effectiveness and can dilute the fat so that it exits the body.  Good sources of vitamin C are citrus fruits include grapefruit, oranges, limes and lemons.  Vegetables high in vitamin C are broccoli, cabbage and celery.  Veggies also offer a high fibre content which is also beneficial to weight loss.
Foods that are high in fibre help to eliminate waste from the body which helps minimize food being stored as fat.  Whole grain breads and cereals are a great source of fibre.

Foods like olive oil, cayenne pepper, cinnamon and garlic have been touted as foods that burn fat.  Garlic is a natural blood sugar regulator that helps keep insulin levels low.  This allows foods to be used for energy instead of being stored as fat.
