Better for weight loss: fresh or dried fruit?

Which do you think is better for weight loss, fresh or dried fruit? Or do you think there isn’t a difference?
According to nutrition.about.com dried fruits have less volume than fresh fruits, so half a cup of raisins will have more calories than a full cup of fresh grapes. It is estimated that half a cup of raisins has approximately over 200 calories while a cup of fresh grapes has just about 60 calories. That’s a big difference!
So, even though dried fruit still offers a good nutritional value, it is way higher in calories than fresh fruit.

If you prefer eating dried fruit, go easy and cut down your portion size. Also avoid consuming the ones that have sugar sprinkled over them as this will throw your calories overboard and weight loss may take even longer to achieve.
