Can I lose weight if I really enjoy food?

Dr Phil, world renowned clinical psychologist and host of the popular TV show, Dr. Phil, says that practically ‘everybody likes the taste of food, but you have to develop the maturity to balance your intake’. He further says that if you are one of these people, then you need to ‘control the quality and the amount of what you eat’.

Eat healthy foods

Avoid consuming junk, processed and refined foods. Opt for fresh and healthy foods such as fruit and vegetables and organic foods where possible.

Watch your portion size

Be cautious as to the size of the meals that you consume. You may eat healthy foods but if your portion sizes are enormous and more than what you really need, you may still gain weight.

Seek advice from a dietician if you require assistance in creating a dietary plan and consult your doctor if necessary.
