Suppertime tip to reduce your belly bulge

Getting rid of your belly bulge - or rather, that stubborn muffin top as it's known - can be frustrating to say the least.

But there are a few simple things you can do every day to help banish the bulge.

One of them is changing the time when you would normally eat your carbs.

According to Dr.Oz, if you don't exercise after eating simple carbohydrates, they'll go straight to your belly.

Skip regular carbs at suppertime

Don't worry, you don't have to give up your favourite pastas or breads completely. Just make sure you have them earlier in the day, so that your body has time to burn them off.

For example, why not switch things up and start your day with pancakes for breakfast? Or have a tasty pasta salad for lunch?

For supper, cut out regular carbs like rice, pasta and bread, and stick to veggies and protein instead. Legumes, fish, chicken and lean meats are all great sources of protein. You can mix and match them with a variety of other veggies and salad options (dark green vegetables and bean sprouts are also excellent sources of protein) for a delicious, balanced meal.
