Stay focused!

Keep your eye on the prize and stay focused. Buy an item of clothing in the size that you would be able to comfortably wear once you have lost weight or reached your target weight. Hang this item in a place where you can visibly see it daily – it will serve as a reminder to stay focused and achieve that goal!

Give yourself small rewards

Each time you accomplish a small weight loss goal, reward yourself! If purchasing items, try and buy something that will help keep you on track for achieving bigger goals. For example, buy yourself a new gym towel or new running socks instead of a box of your favourite chocolates.

Persevere

Even when you feel lethargic or feel that weight loss is taking too long to be achieved, just persevere and stay on track. You will feel better the next day and be proud that you didn’t give up the day before.

Remember that weight loss does not happen overnight, so persevere and you will reap the rewards!
