Make walking your spring resolution

If you really want great-looking legs in time for summer, make walking part of your day. Here are a few easy beginner walking tips:

  1. Find a good route to walk every day.

  2. If you don't live in a great or safe walking area, calendar a long walk (or two) in nature every weekend – or in a park or somewhere nearby.

  3. Block off your walking time. Start slowly and build your way up until you can walk comfortably for 30 to 45 minutes.

  4. Always warm up before walking.

  5. Cool down and stretch at the end of your walk.

  6. Don't forget to drink water to stay properly hydrated.
