Take a time out to prevent weight gain

Many women turn to food as a form of comfort in the hope of alleviating the tension that they may be feeling. Usually the food that is sought out consists of confectionary or high fat foods – both of which can add tons of calories to your daily intake, not forgetting an increase to your waistline in the long term.

Take a break and hydrate!

What you may really need is a time out or a short break! Step away from your desk for a few minutes, if work issues are stressing you out. Go to the water cooler or kitchen and drink some water. Many people often neglect to adequately hydrate themselves and sometimes our body is asking for more fluids instead of solid foods.

Get some fresh air

Alternatively, take a walk outside and get some fresh air if household chores are getting the better of you! The sunshine will give you a renewed sense of energy and enthusiasm, not forgetting a dose of vitamin D.

Avoid junk foods

Try and avoid the temptation of consuming junk foods. If you are genuinely hungry then eat healthy or snack on healthy foods such as fruit or nuts. In this way, you can prevent gaining unnecessary weight.
