Burn calories carrying your child

Carrying your child whilst walking a relatively long distance may not be as easy as you think. We are quite accustomed to carrying our children for a few minutes, but if we carry them for a much longer period, you will realise that it takes some effort, especially if your child is not very light.

You could also carry other things in your free hand, if you are able to. They will serve as ‘weights’ and help you to burn more calories whilst walking.

You could go for a walk in the park, fetch a parcel from the post office or even buy one or two items from the local supermarket. Whatever you do, be sure that your child is safe and comfortable, and enjoy the free exercise whilst performing other important daily tasks.
