It makes sense too... Take chilli sauce - hot, spicy - and try to make it palatable to the public. What's the trick? Add sugar. How much sugar do you need to make chilli into a sweet? A LOT!

If you're adding sweet chilli sauce to your meals because 'chilli speeds up your metabolism' I've got some bad news for you... No increase in metabolism can make up for the amount of extra sugar you're pumping into your meal.

Alternative: Use dry chilli flakes or fresh red or green chilli - just use less so it's not too hot, If you need a sauce, pop some fresh chilli into some olive oil and vinegar.
