'Quick Tips for WEIGHT LOSS' is a series devoted to giving you bite-sized tips you can implement into your lifestyle TODAY to start losing weight immediately.

Tip: Pill popping

Many people struggle to lose weight because they eat poorly. Even a lot of people who think they're totally committed to a diet make nutritional mistakes that are the difference between losing weight and staying the same (or even gaining weight).

But what if you ARE eating correctly and still can't shed even a single kilogram? How can that be?

The first place I always go with clients who have this scenario going on is to medication. Not prescribing medication, but trying to GET THEM OFF IT.

You see, Pharmacy 101 basically says that every medicine that fixes something is also bad for something else. And the unfortunate side-effect of many popular meds these days is WEIGHT GAIN. If you're on anti-depressants, birth-control pills, cortisone tablets or any number of other medicines you are almost certainly going to have trouble losing weight.

Why?

Because while these medicines can be helpful they are also toxins, and the body responds to toxins by storing them behind the walls of a fat cell to protect you from them floating around your internals.

Every time your body puts more of anything into a fat cell the fat cell gets larger ET VOILA! you are FATTER.

I understand that it could be impossible to get off of certain drugs, but I am convinced that there is usually an alternative* - DIET is usually one of the possible solutions too - go figure.

So if this is where you find yourself GET HELP

All is NOT lost. Do something positive now and change your future. Chat to your doctor about your medications, ask for alternatives, and keep researching until you find a solution that works for you.

*Please ensure that you discuss alternatives with your medical professional before changing your medications.
