The Seven Day Colour Diet

Singer Christina Aguilera is a proponent of The Seven Day Colour Diet - an eating plan which only allows you to eat foods of a certain colour each day on a seven-day cycle. The diet is reported to assist with weight loss and aid in skin rejuvenation.

Imagine...it's Monday and you can only eat red foods…

What's for breakfast? Strawberries and tomato sauce? Red peppers and cherries? The diet restricts you to natural foods only – so no red velvet cake allowed!

This diet lacks any scientific reason to restrict yourself to only one colour of food at a time.

One should always eat a variety of foods, as each 'colour' of food contains a beneficial set of nutrients, however there is no difference between eating them all on one day or separating them.

So, yes, eat lots of different coloured foods. But I don't recommend doing one colour per day, or every day will feel like a BLUE MONDAY.
