Begin by prancing around a room in your house using light and airy steps. Move in a graceful and swift manner and feel free to move your arms in any direction that is comfortable or comes naturally.

Increase your pace then slow it down every now and again so that the exercise is interesting and you do not become bored. You can move to larger rooms or use your whole house if you move at a fast pace. Alternatively, you can do this in your garden or at the park or beach (if you don’t mind many faces smiling at you)!

You could also keep some small weights of different sizes and varying degrees of heaviness with you as this may help to improve your calorie burning. Take turns carrying each one with you while you prance about, starting from the smallest or lightest and later moving to the bigger and heavier ones.
