What's in your freezer at your house can be a powerful predictor of how well you will fare on your diet plan.

And on a busy day, knowing that there's no ready-to-eat food in the house will mean that you'll stop off at your local fast-food outlet on the way home, because you can't be bothered to cook a healthy meal after six meetings, three child-ferrying trips and a gym session.

All you want to do is collapse on the couch and relax.

Even after a crazy day, if all you have to do is warm something up and maybe cook a bit of rice, you'll be much more inclined to eat the healthy stuff. Take food out in the morning if you know you're going to be busy, or defrost it in the microwave if you must.

Make some soup and stew in your slow cooker (or pressure cooker). This'll feed a family for a week if it needs to. Put it into meal-sized containers and stock your freezer with real, healthy, hearty food that'll only take a few minutes to prepare. It'll change your life.
