"Hey Elvis! You going out Friday night?" "No man. I'm on diet. Got to get my four days’ beauty sleep".

Elvis Presley was a big fan of the Sleeping Beauty diet. The gist of which was that, instead of trying to control your eating habits, you should sleep as much as possible for days at a time. The rationale? Well, you can't eat while you're sleeping right?

The problem?

Well, some people have these inconvenient things called JOBS to go to every day. Plus, when you're not eating ANYTHING for days at a time your body is getting no nutrients. This will come back to bite you in a number of ways.

The rationale? Well, you can't eat while you're sleeping right?

You'll be super hungry when you wake up and want to eat everything in sight. If you don't, you'll become sickly because you don't have enough basic vitamins and minerals in your system to support normal levels of health.

Plus, because you're totally inactive while you sleep, you probably wouldn't lose very much weight, AND you would not be exercising so your muscle tone would diminish too.

Not a good idea all round then. And Elvis's physique 'transformation' over time is proof.
