Assisting in event planning as well as organising is a sure way to get the calories burning. When drawing up a list of tasks, allocate the ones that involve the most movement or physical activity to yourself. This may involve carrying boxes, putting up signs or banners, sweeping the venue floors and even supervising other staff – whereby you are constantly on the move.

You can maximise your workout by using the stairs instead of the lifts (where applicable) and perhaps give yourself a time limit in which you are to complete a specific task or a few tasks.

Remember to wear comfortable clothes and especially suitable shoes so that you limit the chances of getting injured during the hard work.
