A good weight-loss workout should consist of both weight-bearing as well as cardiovascular exercises. You can even include some plyometric exercises into your workout to increase your calorie burnout. Here are some plyometric exercises that you could try:

Burpees

Stand with your feet hip width apart. Then squat down and place your hands on the floor. Jump your feet back so that you are in a plank position and do one push up. Next, jump your feet back to your hands and from this crouched position, jump up as high as you can.

Plyometric single-leg toe touches

"Stand on your right foot with your left leg extended out and arms out to your sides. Bend your right knee and reach forward to touch your right foot with your left hand. Straighten back up and jump up. Do all reps on one side and then switch."

Other benefits of plyometric exercises

Plyometric exercises may also help you to become stronger, improve your speed at running as well as become less injury prone.
