Sugar cravings are a major reason that people struggle to stick to a diet, especially a 'low-carb' one. You've probably done it before too …

You diet diligently for a few days and then it hits you... you NEED chocolate in your life. You resist for a day, maybe two, but the craving becomes too powerful and you give in and eat three slabs of chocolate and a packet of doughnuts.

1. Start thinking of sugar the right way

One of the reasons you crave sugar is that you see it as a reward. Your brain reacts to it in such a pleasing way because you have been conditioned to feel that sugary foods are a treat.

In reality, sugary foods are nothing but bad for you. Start teaching yourself this. You'll find it a lot easier to say no when you see it for what it really is.
