Have you performed a lumbar roll with lunge before? If not, then this is a great exercise to incorporate into your exercise routine, especially if you are trying to burn some calories and achieve your weight-loss goals sooner.

How to perform a lumbar roll with lunge

You can perform this exercise whilst lying on a yoga mat as this will increase your comfort level. Use body momentum to roll back on the floor and swing your feet towards your head.

Do not hold that position, however. Cross your feet and using momentum again, roll forwards. Now, separate your legs, drawing one under your body, such that you are able to propel yourself forwards, rising up on one knee as you push forwards with your hands.

Whilst lifting from your hips, bring your body in an upward and forward position. Continue to your feet in a single fluid motion. Swing your arms to maintain balance.
