7 fitness apps that will make weight loss fun!

Whether you are trying to control alcohol consumption or forcing yourself every morning to jog, apps like iBeer and Zombies Run can motivate you.

Here are some fun apps to help you to focus on fitness:

Gympact - Most people do not go to the gym because they feel lazy, but what if skipping gym meant losing money! Gympact is an app that allows you to set a goal each week, and if you don’t meet those goals you’ll have to pay up. Alternatively, if you do meet those goals then you’ll get paid by users who slacked off. The app has recently come up with a new version called Pact and is available for free for Android and iOS users.

Nexercise - Touted as a fitness app for lazy people, Nexercise makes workouts fun by making it a competitive online game where you can cross levels and earn points. It’s available for Android and iOS users for free.

iPint on iOS and iBeer on Android: If your friends are gulping down beer at parties, you can also join them with this virtual beer. Also, when you drink it, the glass empties itself and you can refill it as many times you want without getting drunk or having a hangover next morning. It’s available for free on Android and iOS.

Embarrassing Bodies My Health Checker: Before working on a healthier lifestyle, see what poor shape you’re in with this app. You could choose a test to measure your Body Mass Index, Body fat percentage or your basal metabolic rate. Also, it gives you an indication of your health risks along with advice on how to improve your health. It’s available for iOS users for free.

Zombies, Run!: Co-created with award-winning novelist Naomi Alderman, the phone app makes your morning jog a little more exciting. The story starts with you crash landing in the middle of a pack of zombies. As you listen to your playlists, a voice tells you the zombies are right behind you and it’s up to you to save the civilisation. Your phone’s GPS tracks your speed and if you’re not fast enough you’ll be eaten up by monsters. It is available for Rs 186 for Android users and Rs 180 for iOS users.
