Weight Loss Tip #33 – Swim to lose weight

Did you know doing a few laps in water can help you lose weight? Sounds ridiculous? No it isn’t. Swimming actually helps you burn a lot of calories, depending upon the person’s weight and his/her exertion level and it’s a safe way to lose weight for people who have joint problems or are extremely obese.  It also helps you to become more agile and fast.

It also forces you to breathe deep so that more oxygen is pumped throughout your body which makes your muscles stronger. Regular swimming can help you reduce weight and save you from various chronic diseases like type-2 diabetes, stroke, and more.

To avoid making swimming a monotonous affair, try doing water Zumba or participate in sports like water polo. These can definitely spike up the interest levels and would also help in reducing weight. (Read: How swimming can help you lose weight!)
