Weight loss can be difficult, especially if you are at that stage that when you want to see results but aren’t. Here is a natural remedy that can give you great results — Apamarga patra or Apamarga leaf or plant.

How it works

The plant has hepato-protective properties that helps keep  your liver healthy. It is also a diuretic agent  that helps get rid of excess water and toxins from your body. But what really works in speeding up the weight loss process is the fact that it is known to help beat cravings — helping you feel full for longer. So no more binge eating!

Caution: Do not have more than  500 milligrams to 2 grams of this plant as it can affect your digestion adversely.

How to use it

What you’ll need

  • The tiny fruit of the plant — these are small fruit-like green structures found on the offshoot of this plant (as shown in the image)
  • Water
  • Milk half a glass
  • Jaggery to taste

Method

Dry out the apamarga fruit and boil it in some water till it is cooked and soft to touch. Now add the amount of jaggery you desire and allow it to boil. Remove it from the flame and add some milk. Mix well and drink this mixture once every day.
