All the music and dancing in Bollywood movies is infectious. What if you tell you that you can structure your entire fitness routine around dance? With the same energising spirit of Bollywood dancing, you can add a twist to your fitness routine. This fitness plan will keep you moving and lose weight the entire way.

Early morning
It can be an excellent idea to just massage your neck and shoulders as soon as you get up in the morning. All the stress can make your neck and shoulders sore and stiff. So a little shoulder massage can go a long way in releasing the tension and set you up for the day.

Healthy recipes
Breakfast: A high-fibre breakfast will help satiate your hunger for longer and make you less likely to reach for snacks later in the day. A bowl of oatmeal can always be an excellent choice. To up the fibre content, add apple instead of raisins and dried blueberries and a handful of flaxseeds to your bowl. Try preparing this apple cinnamon oatmeal.

Lunch: For a filling afternoon meal, you need to eat a lot of protein and fibre. If you are craving Chinese, prepare this noodle with stir fried vegetables and you will enjoy a fibre-full lunch. Try making this high in protein, low in carbs, fat and calories grilled chicken salad.

Evening snack: A bit of fibre-rich oatmeal and poha can make this oats-poha chivda a healthy snack option. Packing this to office will ward off the hunger and prevent you from reaching the 4 p.m office canteen.

Dinner: While cutting back on carbs, you can still manage to have a delicious and satiating dinner. For a quick warming supper, cook up these stuffed peppers with squash, black beans and rice. With just a few ingredients you can create a low-carb meal with a lot of nutrients.

Exercise

At home: This 11-minute Bollywood dance workout can feel like a party. The moves in this dance workout will make your leg moves in the best possible way, work your abs and get your heart rate up. The session will give you a full body workout. So watch the video and dance your heart away in the comforts of your living room.

At the gym: Many gym offers Zumba classes with which you can burn some serious calories. Besides helping ou tone your body and lose weight, this powerful dance workout is guaranteed to challenge your agility, speed and balance while you keep a huge smile on your face throughout the session.

Yoga: You can also a little twist to your yoga session by playing some music and slowly moving from one yoga pose to another. Performing the yoga moves will be all the more fun and you won’t realise how much abs are working until you are done. Try performing this yoga sequence for a flat tummy.

Sleep well tip
You may not realise but caffeine can impair your ability to sleep. You may take up to six hours to metabolise caffeine so think twice before you sip the evening cuppa of joe or eat that dark chocolate you crave.
