Can I Reduce My Weight Without Spending Time Exercising?

Most certainly. Many people are doing it successfully. But many more are losing weight faster by undergoing plenty of exercise for weight loss.

There's nothing complicated or difficult about losing weight. It's about dedicating a mind-set in order to reach an objective. It's all about setting personal goals and then attempting to achieve them. It's about the satisfaction of not only shedding unwanted pounds, but also of reaching a personal target. And then progressing from there.

So how can a person lose weight without spending time exercising?

OK, lets start at the beginning. People with a weight problem know the need to eat a low-calorie diet free from fats, salt and excessive amounts of sugar to achieve weight loss. They also know that regular physical exercise speeds up this process. By 'exercise' these people may be involved in nothing more than a walk in the park, or a jog around the block.

But for some people with a weight issue, a period in the day devoted to exercise isn't possible. The problem is not the effort involved, it's the time taken up.

Today, many people are 'time-poor'. They cannot devote enough time to a regular, daily period of exercises. However much they would like to take a walk or a jog, family and work pressures don't allow. But there are ways in which they can get more exercise.

Whether we know it or not, we engage in physical activity during the course of a day. Walking around the home or the work place involves 'exercise'. Every physical activity is exercise and prolonging that activity results in more exercise. So all a person has to do is think of ways in which activity can be extended.

Spend an extra ten minutes taking the dog for a walk; park the car as far away from work as possible; use the stairs instead of the elevator; get off the bus a stop earlier and walk the rest of the way; walk to work; take a stroll at lunch time; there's a million ways of extending a period of activity, without devoting a length of time specifically to exercises.

For people who are not 'time-poor' such as seniors or people who work from home, then lack of time may not be a limitation on their exercise activities. These people are able to enjoy the time they can devote to exercise as well as the additional benefits, other than weight loss, that this brings. Being physically fit goes a long way towards giving an older person a much more vigorous and rewarding life style.
