3 Great Tips For Using Water For Faster Weight Loss

“Are you saying to drink water for weight loss? That just doesn’t sound right. I’ve been working hard to get rid of water to lose weight.”

Yes, I know...it doesn’t seem to make sense, but it works. Drinking more water will actually get rid of body water...and fat! Plus, it improves your health, your skin, and your appearance.

So, along with diet and exercise, drinking more water is an indispensable part of your efforts to lose weight.

How Drinking Water Helps You Lose Weight

Drinking water helps you lose weight in the following ways:

- Water helps suppress the appetite. The more you drink, the less you eat.

- Water helps prevent water retention by getting rid of salt (salt causes water retention).

- By drinking enough water, your body feels free to release stored water.

- Water helps your kidneys, which, in turn, sets your liver free to burn more fat.

3 Great Tips For Using Water For Faster Weight Loss

1. Drink the best water.

It’s important to know that all drinking water is not equal. Here are some facts about various types of drinking water that you should know:

Tap Water

Most tap water contains fluoride, which is supposed to be good for your teeth. However, here are some facts about fluoride in drinking water:

- The American Dental Association admits that fluoride is harmful to the development of teeth. Strange.

- Fluoride is used in rat poison (Hmmm, does that tell you something?)

- Most of the fluoride used in public water systems comes from the fertilizer industry, and may contain trace amounts of arsenic along with various heavy metals such as lead and mercury. Heavy, man.

Now comes the icing on the cake: studies have found that there is no difference in rates of tooth decay in countries that use fluoridated water, than those that don’t. Even without the fluoride, tap water often contains many other unhealthy elements.

The good news is that fluoride in toothpaste does help prevent cavities.

Because of the above facts and because I don’t like the taste of most public water, I would advise you to use a different source of drinking water to help you lose weight.

Bottled Water

“I know what the answer is... it’s that pure Rocky Mountain bottled water, straight from those pure mountain springs.” Sorry.

Not too long ago we found out that Pepsi’s “Aquafina” and Coca-Cola’s “Dasani” bottled waters came from public reservoirs. Both of these bottled waters come from the same source as faucet water. The only difference is that they have been purified.

Now we know that a large percentage of the bottled water sold in markets is just expensive, purified tap water.

Another issue to consider is the contamination caused by the plastic containers that bottled water is stored in for a long period of time. So bottled water still isn’t the best.

Filtered Water

Due to our modern-day environmental problems, fresh home-filtered water is really the best option. Just make sure that the filtering system is “reversed osmosis.” You can’t beat the clarity of these purifying systems.

I own a reverse osmosis system, and it’s great. These units are not very expensive (and they pay for themselves quickly). Hey, with these reasonably priced units, you can have fresh, wholesome, pure water at your fingertips for pennies.

2. Drink the right amount of water.

How many times have you heard this? “Drink at least eight, eight-ounce glasses of water a day.” Well, that happens to be great advice. Follow it and you will speed up your weight loss and feel a lot better about what you see in the mirror.

Don’t try to drink all of your water at once. And don’t wait until you get thirsty to drink water. Thirst tells you that you are getting dehydrated, so drink before you get thirsty.

I carry a large water bottle around. This helps me gage how much water I drink.

3. Keep in mind the other great benefits of drinking more water.

Drinking more water:

- Makes your skin look younger

- Helps clear your skin

- Flushes impurities from your skin

- Helps create a nice glow to your skin

- Helps your skin to plump up so that it doesn’t look as saggy. (Important as we grow older)

- Helps you exercise better

- Improves muscle tone

Actually, what I have given you is just a partial list of the many great benefits of drinking more water. So be sure to add plenty of water to your weight loss program, and you will see and feel the difference.

And remember; never, ever give up! Stick in there and, in time, you will be a much slimmer you.
