Not only is body fat a cosmetic problem, but it is also a health risk. Some people think that they are healthy and don't have much fat, however they don't know about the internal fat. Internal fat may be less of a worry for appearance, but it causes many health problems. Internal fat hardens your organs and produces bad toxins within your body. Internal fat is stubborn, to get rid of it you must do the following 3 things.

First, you must stay focused. The best way to keep progressing and stay motivated is by writing goals. Write down small everyday goals, such as exercising everyday. Then write down weekly goals, monthly and then your ultimate goal. Use the smaller goals a baby steps to help you achieve your ideal weight. Keep on updating your goals as you progress. As soon as you can easily complete a goal every week, change it to something else that you need to do better.

Secondly, only decrease your calories through food by a maximum of 500 a day. If you decrease your calories too much your body will see it as a threat. Instead of using fat as energy it will use muscle. Muscle is what keeps your metabolism high and must be maintained. If you want your body to burn off that dangerous fat you must do it gradually. If you want to decrease your calories by more you must do it through exercise. Exercising is the best way as it will increase your metabolism and fitness levels.

Lastly, the exercise you do should be a combination of cardio and weight training. Cardio is a great workout to do in the morning. It will burn up to 300 % more fat in the morning and will raise your metabolism for the rest of the day. Lifting weights will increase your muscle mass and therefore increase your metabolism.
