Many people make the mistake of thinking that they are not going to feel satisfied until they give in to this sugar craving, but this is not true at all. You just have to make sure that you choose the right alternative food to kick the craving.

Fresh fruit is probably the best thing that you can eat to deal with a sugar craving, just make sure that you avoid putting any sugar on top of the fruit. You really want to stay away from the sugar altogether, because as soon as you get a little bit of the stuff you are just going to want even more.

Now it important to realize, especially when you have sugar craving diabetes, that just as with any other habit, the first few days are going to be the hardest. When you try to cut out sugar from your diet, you are going to find that you are probably having more cravings than ever for the first few days and even the first week or so after you start.

After that however, it will become like second nature and in fact you will probably find that you don’t like the taste of sugar anymore which will be really great because then your cravings will subside completely.
