It is one thing to lose weight in your stomach temporarily, but a completely other thing to lose weight permanently. One of the main problems why people are not losing weight successfully, is because they use diets, but diets as we all know, are not permanent solutions. I have a few simple but very effective tips, how you can lose weight and do it permanently.

The most important factor in losing weight permanently, has nothing to do with exercises or nutrition plans. It has more do to with your mindset. The people who have lost weight successfully, have a very different attitude, then those people who try to do it with diets. They know very well that lifelong habits are the real key to success. If you do not change your eating and exercise habits, then you can not expect long-term results. When you go on a 4 week diet and lose 15 pounds, then what happens to you when you go off the diet? Obviously you gain the weight back sooner or later.

When people are using diets to lose weight, then they are making their life much harder, because they are working against their body. Along with fat, you will also lose muscle, when you diet. But the problem is that muscle is like a furnace that burns calories. Obviously you would want the furnace to be at top speed all the time, so your body would constantly burn calories. Diets to the complete opposite and decrease muscle tissue.

Try not to use a very big calories deficit, but a small calorie deficit. The best way to create a calorie deficit is by increasing your activity a lot and deceasing your calories by just a little. Usually people do the complete opposite and right away cut their calories very low. For example if you maintenance level is 2100 calories then a 500 calorie reduction to 1600, would be ideal. If you include weight training and cardio training as well , then you are more likely to lose weight in your stomach permanently and hopefully close to 100% of the weight you lose is fat, not muscle. The key is to feed the muscle and burn the fat.
