It also has a positive effect on your cholesterol levels by reducing the absorption of cholesterol in your blood stream. Insoluble fiber helps your body achieve regular bowel movement and prevent constipation. It also help control and balance thepH value in the intestines. By doing this it can help prevent colon cancer by keeping an optimal pH in the intestines to prevent microbes from producing cancerous substances.
