You can find support groups such as Weight Watchers or any other weight loss group that is interested in offering encouragement and support for others in the same situation. They will understand the difficult decision you have made and many of them will be only too happy to share their experiences with you.

There are so many potential pitfalls, all of which are there to try and make you give up. But with someone beside you, you can discuss the issues you face and get, from them, the time and understanding that will help you through this venture. It is difficult, and if you meet someone that has been through it before then you are half way there.

But, don't forget, friends and relatives can help too. Let them know what you are doing and what you may need to sacrifice in order to be successful. Perhaps they will tell you how well you are looking and even how your shape has changed! If not, ask them. Good friends will be truthful at all times and good friends will always be there either in person or at the end of a telephone to listen to you. Use them.
