How Does The EODD Diet Work?

Many people have been asking me how the EODD diet works.  How can you eat pizza and doughnuts and still lose weight?  First of all, let me put to rest the idea that you can eat pizza and doughnuts to your hearts content on the EODD diet.  It is, after all, a weight loss diet.  If you are asking how does the EODD diet work with that idea in mind you can forget it.  That would never work.  On the other hand, if you are asking how does the EODD diet work in allowing you to have feed days where you can eat pizza and doughnuts, then I can help you.

So, how does the EODD diet work?

When we go on low calorie diets our brain will record our lower food intake.  As this condition persists, it will register in the brain as the onset of starvation and the brain will respond by decreasing the rate it uses food as energy to try and stave off what it sees as starvation.  How does the EODD diet work at counteracting the body's starvation defense?  The EODD diet does this in two ways.  Exercise and calorie shifting.  Exercise naturally tends to boost the bodies metabolism and eating a lot of calories at given intervals also boost the bodies metabolism and keeps it from thinking the body is starving.

How does the EODD diet work with feed days.

At intervals during the EODD diet program you will be told to eat what ever you want in order to keep the body burning fat, and yes, it does work.  You have to follow the EODD diet plan closely, but it does work.

How does the EODD diet work with burn days.

On burn days you will eat a lean protein diet.  This keeps the muscles from deteriorating because the body will sometimes cannibalize its own muscle tissue rather than its fat if the energy demand (usually when exercising) is greater than the rate at which the body can convert fat into energy.

How does the EODD diet work when some people say it doesn't?

The EODD Diet has worked fantastic for me.  I am not the kind of person who likes to write about stuff that I haven't tried and I certainly will call it like I see it and I see this diet as great for me.  Will it work for you?  I don't honestly know, but it is worth a try.
