Sometimes it is necessary to get back to basics, and what can be more basic than counting calories. Now nobody wants to be told that losing weight will be work, but let's face reality. You didn't get in the shape you are in overnight, and if you want to discover the new trim and healthy you then you need to make sure that you are doing things that will work now and that you will be able to maintain for the long run. I can understand how you feel, when I first started counting calories I became obsessed over it. It took a considerable amount of time out of my day to make sure that I wasn't going over on the allowed calorie intake for the day.
