What most people fail to do when tackling weight loss as their New Years resolution is create a diet plan that will succeed.  Instead dieters have this strange notion that the latest celebrity fad or a so called extreme diet is the way to go when in actuality this is far from the truth.  In order to make your diet resolution work you need to make the diet as simple and as easy to follow as possible or else your New Years resolution will end up the same place last years resolution ended.

Now what we need to do is make simple choices that have been proven to lead to weight loss.  Such as replacing all of your soda drinks with water, exchanging that bag of chips for a vegetable plate and by staying far, far away from fast food restaurants.  The typical diet company will stress how important calorie counting is and they are right to a point but that does not mean you need to spend hundreds of dollars a month ordering food from that company for all you really need is a notepad and a pencil plus a calculator to save a ton of money.
