The adherents of gyms and apologists of dumbbells shall hate me for these words. But! It is possible to lose weight without an exercise load, and I can prove it. Do not get me wrong: exercises and sport are good for health; they help to keep the figure fit due to the muscles development and certainly promote losing weight. Nevertheless, weight loss is possible even for those who (like me) prefer lying on a couch and dreaming to running at dawn.

There is only one way to lose weight - eat fewer calories than you spend. Why not go for the simplest way and limit the calorie intake so that the amount spent on lying is more than the eaten one? Remember about ancient times, when our ancestors lived in caves and even could not imagine sofas and the food was a rare and an unexpected pleasure.

Therefore, at breaks in feeding the body saves each extra (or not such) calorie in a reserve in the form of fat, and this mechanism is working so far. If your body is not getting enough nutrition, it switches on this ancient survival mechanism and slows down all not very crucial processes, which starts stocking up the fat for hard days.

Consequently the only way remaining is to accelerate the process of burning calories, thus improving the metabolism. How can we do this?

Start your day with breakfast. The breakfast "launches" your body and your metabolism. If you skip breakfast, you lose half of a day, during which you could actively burn calories by digesting breakfast.

Do not forget about sleeping. A tired body cannot function as needed and the metabolism slows down. 7-8 hours of sleep is considered to be sufficient.

Go to a sauna. When a body has to adjust to the temperature, the metabolism increases. In addition, while being in a sauna you cleanse from toxins.

Cheat your body. A weekly consumption of different amounts of calories - more in one week, less in another - gives an interesting result. Your body does not understand what is happening, and would not make reserves, even if the amount calories would fall below the critical point, and would not save that was superfluous.

Abstain from alcohol. Especially from beer, vodka and liqueurs.

Eat more frequently. As it was already mentioned, all the processes in an organism require energy inputs and the digestion of food is not an exception. When we eat every 2-3 hours, the body burns calories constantly.

Monitor the amount of food eaten. Nevertheless, we are to mind what we eat and how much (remember to consume less than to spend). The best method - is to use dessert plates instead of big ones. The plate is full, and you do not have to remember the calorie content of each product or to think about the size of servings.

Eat a "correct" food. Namely - vegetables and fruits, cereals, lean meat and poultry, dairy products (like your mom said, do not eat bakery and sweets). During each meal your plate should look like an autumn landscape - it needs to include all the possible colors, from green to purple.

In addition, some products have the additional ability to improve the metabolism. For example, broccoli, oatmeal, yogurt, apples, pears and grapefruit, fish, lean meat and poultry, nuts and seeds (especially almonds and pumpkin ones), pepper (as a spice, especially red pepper), green tea.

Do not categorically ban your favorite delicacy. Forbidden fruit is sweet, and at some point it will not be possible to stay away from it, and the whole cake will disappear from the fridge in 5 minutes! Allow yourself from time to time something, without that you cannot enjoy a life fully.

Drink water. It is recommended to drink plenty of water during the day. Water helps to cleanse the body from toxins; in addition we often confuse a feeling of thirst with a hunger.

Note that the word "diet" was not used in the article even once, since these principles must become not a temporary means to lose a few pounds, but a permanent way of life. In this case, you will be able to maintain your form for many years. As before any change in diet and lifestyle, you should consult a doctor beforehand.
