Lose Weight Quickly Through 8 Simple Home Remedies

Everyone battles with weight, whether underweight or overweight. It is difficult to stay at the same exact weight throughout a lifetime as experiences come our way that are hard to avoid. There are thousands of weight loss diets out there on the market promising fast weight loss and even overnight weight loss. In fact, the best thing you can do for yourself in your quest to lose weight is to create a healthy kitchen. Some of the best home remedies come from stocking your kitchen with healthy foods and fat-reducing utensils that will help you shed the pounds.

1. Limit sugar & alcohol: Foods with a lot of added sugar and alcoholic drinks are just empty calories. They provide little nutrients to our body. Alcohol slows down the body's use of fat for fuel and the fat is likely to be stored in the body (Notice the fatty drinkers). Avoid colas and coke drinks, they are full of sugar. Note that a can of cola contains 9-10 teaspoons of sugar. Read Sugar content of liquors & soft drinks and Sugar content of foods.

2. Olive oil. Getting more monounsaturated fats into your diet can help keep your cholesterol under control and may help you shed pounds. Because it's mostly monounsaturated fat, olive oil is a much healthier choice than, say, butter.

3. Another natural weight loss diet is to take almonds daily. Almonds can lower cholesterol levels and can also help with the cravings for certain junk foods. Keep almonds in your house and when you feel a craving coming on, eat a handful of them. This will curb your food cravings and benefit your general health.

4. Skim milk. Whole milk has 8 grams of fat per cup, skim milk has none. And you get just as much calcium and vitamin D. If you've been drinking the heavier stuff, it may take a while to get used to the different texture (skim milk is more watery). Try going from whole milk to two percent milk and slowly making your way to skim.

5. Vitamin C is very good for people who are looking to reduce their weight. Since amalaki (Emblica officinalis, Indian Gooseberry) is the best source of vitamin C in the world, it is good to eat two three fruits of the amalaki each day. Also have a glass of any one citrus fruit - orange, lemon, etc. - each day. Green leafy vegetables also have good vitamin C content. They can be consumed raw in the form of salads.

6. Do not overeat: You should not eat after you are full. Eating extra food adds additional calories to your body. For example, if one dessert serving of 75 calories daily after meals for 10 years will give you extra 270000 calories, which will add about 20 kg to your weight! Eating a salad with low fat salad dressing is a very healthy option.

7. Exercise is the best way answer for natural weight loss. If you combine 25 to 45 minutes of exercise at least three times a week your metabolism will remain active and you will burn off extra calories. Remember that you need to burn off more calories than you eat. Try sticking to a diet of vegetables and fruits, along with some protein and fiber. Fiber is very important in a diet as it keeps you regular and gives you the vitamins you need for optimal health.

8. Honey is very good for mobilizing the fats in the body. Take a spoonful of honey half an hour after every meal. A good remedy is to mix a teaspoonful of honey and lemon juice and have it twice a day. Alternatively, you can take a bowl of warm water, put a teaspoonful each of honey and lemon juice and drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. This is a very good remedy to dissolve the excess fats.
