How to Break Your Weight Loss Plateau?

When you break the protocols of health, you'll hit a plateau no matter how low your calorie intake is and how intense your workouts are. If you want to get over your weight loss plateau, these are the 5 things you should do.

1. Get All-Round Nutrients

When you limit yourself to certain specific food for weight loss, the nutrients you get from those foods will be limited as well.

Our cells require a full spectrum of nutrients to stay metabolically active. If they don't get what they need, your metabolism will never go optimal and may turn down as a result. That explains why you're hitting a plateau now.

To kickstart your metabolism and keep it optimal so that it can break your weight loss plateau, vary your meals and make them nutrient dense by including lots of greens and whole foods.

2. Create a Pulse-Like Calorie Diet for Weight Loss

When you keep eating a fixed amount of calories, your body will auto-adjust to burn just that amount, nothing more, nothing less. To overcome this plateau, change your calorie intake every now and then, roughly about +/- 10-15% of your daily calorie needs.

In other words, some days you eat slightly more calories and some days you eat slightly lesser. This will keep your body in a "guessing" state and so it won't settle down on a fixed calorie burning.

3. Interval Exercises

Same as previous point, vary your exercise routine and intensity levels so that your body will burn more calories from your fat reserve to supply the sudden increasing of intensity levels.

For example, stop doing the same old brisk-walk every day. Get on with walk-jog-walk-jog to make your metabolism work a bit more. Stop doing fast push-ups, start slowing down its pace and you'll raise the intensity level, thus increasing your metabolism further.

Whatever you do with your exercises, inject changes every other day to give your metabolism something new to work with, and you'll break weight loss plateau and lose fat with exercise easily.

4. Snack Up

Insert healthy snacks like fresh fruits or handful of nuts & seeds in between your main meals like this: breakfast, snack (morning), lunch, snack (afternoon), dinner.

This will keep your metabolism active throughout the day. It helps to beat your mid-afternoon slump too.

5. Never Skip Breakfast

Skipping breakfast won't make you lose more fat. Instead, it will make you absorb more unnecessary calories when you start taking your lunch. So, pick up breakfast to break your weight loss plateau.
