The Lean Belly Prescription: A Sensible Review

Everybody knows that having a great deal of extra fat on our bellies is not good. It doesn’t just give us those hideous “muffin tops”; it places pressure on the rest of our bodies and adds to problems like coronary disease, diabetes and more. Now, however, there is a new book on the market named the Lean Belly Prescription that claims to help readers get rid of their muffin tops and improve their health. This book has been reviewed virtually everywhere and we wanted to find out if the contents of the book are superior to anything else that is already out there so we thought we would give it a closer look.

The book can be purchased through standard bookselling retailers like Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and Borders. This is excellent because it can help the book gain legitimacy. It may also help make it less difficult to buy because you don’t have to be worried about some affiliate giving a trumped up review to ensure they earn a commission on a product that doesn’t help you. The book is also authored by Travis Stork. You could remember him from the show “The Bachelor” or maybe identify him as one of the doctors on the syndicated daytime show “The Doctors.” He is obviously more, however, than simply a TV personality. He is a real physician who works in an emergency room at a respectable hospital.

The guide is built to advertise the Pick 3 to Lean program that Dr. Stork has developed. The Pick 3 to Lean program makes it possible to customize your diet and lifestyle habits but isn’t going to require you to spend hours and hours working out a gym. The system claims to help you shed weight without having to give up any of the things you love-food, free time, etc. The approach centers on the theory of N.E.A.T, or Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis. This is the idea of being able to burn off calories and not having to work out.

From what we read, this specific book makes a variety of nice promises but doesn’t offer up any new or particularly revelation-worthy information. Simply put, this book doesn’t seem to offer you anything that you will not discover by doing a couple of Google searches and using your common sense. This is going to be a major dissatisfaction for the people who like to understand the reasoning behind the instructions that they are given and expected to adhere to. The publication will not go into theory very much whatsoever. The readers are simply offered some outlines and plans and told to follow along. This is a great book for somebody who enjoys being given instructions but doesn’t like to bother about why the instructions are given.

Traditional logic informs us that the only real way to lose weight is to eat good food and get regular exercise. This book flies in the face of that common sense, so we aren’t really sure if it will perform as well as it says it does. However, in this time, with a doctor’s blessing (your own medical doctor, not the author of the book), anything is worth at least a cursory glance!
