Workouts for Stomach

Working out for your stomach is not only for beauty purposes but also for health. Belly fats can cause health problems. People with fat stomach are more prone to cardio vascular problems and diabetes. Here are five simple exercises for the stomach.

For the first exercise, lie on your back and take a nice deep breath. Inhale and exhale. Then pull your belly button in towards your spine. Hold it for two seconds then release. Do this 3 times.

For the second exercise, straighten up one leg and bend the other. Hold your arms across your chest. Take your shoulder to you knees and make a half sit up. When you move upward, your stomach muscles should feel tight. Switch the sides and repeat this 10 times.

For the third exercises, Place one hand and elbow on the ground. Push your knees down to the ground and pull your hips up. Hold it for two seconds and bring your hips back down. Do 10 repititions on each side.

The forth exercise is similar to the third, the difference is you need to balance with your foot instead of your knees. This will help in firming up the muscles at the sides of your stomach. On a bridge position, bring your hips up and hold it for a couple of seconds and bring it back down. Repeat this ten times on both sides.

For the fifth exercise, sit at the edge of your couch then raise both feet up in line with your waist. Bring your knees to your chest. Repeat this fifteen times.

Drink lots of water. This is one of the biggest factor in any weight loss programs. The water that you drink should be half of your weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 200 lbs, you need to drink 100 ounces per day.

Choose the right food. Doing 100 situps won’t give you results if you don’t eat healthy. Exercises for the stomach are not only for improving your looks but also for improving your health.
