How Effective is the Exercise Part in Provida Six Week Body Makeover?

A closer look at the exercise portion of Provida Six Week Body Makeover and how it stacks up as a stand-alone workout program.

While the Provida Six Week Body Makeover assuredly hangs it’s hat on the mastery of eating the right things at the right time, there is also an exercise component. It is decidedly deemphasized. This fact has served to create doubt among some users and critics about the validity of this part of the program.

On one hand thousands of users have had weight loss success on the program. On the other hand the question of the sustainability of Provida Six Week Body Makeover is one that is hotly debated. Corollary to this discussion is the deeper discussion about the exercise program and what good it is when you aren’t fully engaged in the eating right imperatives.

As has been discussed many times, being able to sustain any long-term weight loss, no matter which program you use is mostly a matter of finding an eating style that accomplishes two things. First it must not leave you feeling hungry. Second it must promote effective energy usage. Finally, it must give you energy to do what you want. Being run-down or deprived is not an eating program no matter how well you keep your weight under control.

Likewise, if you don’t like to exercise, the exercise part of Provida Six Week Body Makeover is well designed for you. The requirements are only about 18 minutes two-times per week.  If you were to do this and not eat right, you would likely gain weight. This is based on the idea that you don’t do any other exercise or aren’t generally active.  The exercise can more than do the job and also help you achieve real body change on it’s own when working within the strictness of the nutrition portion.

Users have been critical that it is too light compared to what they are used to with say P90X or Insanity. These are people that are more comfortable with a higher intensity workout program that looks and feels like real work. That probably determines how you perceive the exercise component of any program. Some people are athletic and some aren’t. Both types of people are well-served with different programs and strategies.  If I were not following the Makeover system with any great intensity, I don’t know if I would be fully satisfied with the workout plan.
