Realistic Goals

Setting goals in life is really important. If you do this you will be more successful in all you do. Keep in mind they need to be realistic goals, especially in something like weight loss.

If there are no set goals or weight to achieve you will not follow through to the end. You will fail and be miserable. If there is a goal there is a finish line to get to and a sense of acomplishment when reached.

You don't want to be disappointed and so your goals need to be within reach so as to stay with the program for as long as it takes.

There are two kinds of goals to set. First you need to set a long term goal where you say you need to reach a certain weight before your program is finished. The other important factor is reaching your short term goals. These are goals meant to keep you focused and on the right track to meet you long term goal. They need to be reachable and work together.

When you start to reach and meet your short term goals you will be encouraged and the results will make you want to continue. When you see yourself slowly improving in the mirror you will see the finished product in your minds eye and you will realize you can reach your ultimate goal.

Remember to stay away from the weigh scale. You shouldn't be constantly running to the scale to weigh yourself. Each time you weigh yourself there will be both positive results and negative results. Just weigh yourself once a week as then you will see the more positve changes to your weight.

If you need to make an adjustment to your diet then you can do it. Your body needs the time to adjust to any changes you make. Be patient.

If you weigh yourself to often there will be false messages. You might even weigh more the day after you weighed less. If you are weighing yourself at differsnt times in the day your weight will be different. Try to weigh yourself at the same time every time you step on the scales. If you are eating at the same times every day this will give the best results.

Seeing such a fluctuation in weight can be discouraging. To avoid this just weigh yourself once a week. This will give you a much truer picture of how you are doing. Be sure to be orgasnized and follow a planned eating and exercise routine. This will ensure you will meet all of your goals.
