Is Juicing For Weight Loss Safe

Since the documentary, Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead, where Joe Cross undertook a sixty day juice fast, many people  have probably wondered if juicing for weight loss is safe.  Joe Cross was able to lose about one hundred pounds and get rid of his autoimmune disease.  However, he doesn't share with us the exact juices that he was drinking. 

How can you make sure that your juicing for weight loss is safe for you?  Start off right with a variety of organic vegetables and fruits.  You will want to put a variety of different vegetables and fruits into your body to ensure that you are meeting or exceeding the nutrients that you need for the day. 

Juicing for weight loss is very effective because you are getting rid of the stored fat that you have already consumed.  Your caloric intake will be lower, but as your body adjusts you will only feel hungry around meal times.  You may miss the sensation of chewing, but that is mainly a psychological thing to get over.  Your body will feel better overall. 

As someone who has completed a five day juice fast, I can attest to the fact that it is very safe to do even if you are on medication as I was.  I chose to keep it to only five days because of a family celebration.  I could have extended the fast longer.  I was not hungry, however, I was also not trying to lose weight.  I was trying to improve my autoimmune disease.  My skin felt and looked great during my five day fast.  The first couple of days, my hunger seemed great.  I just drank more juice when I noticed a hungry feeling.  While I was concerned about my medication upsetting my stomach, it did not. 

The great thing about a juice fast is that the nutrients that you are consuming are quickly and easily absorbed into your body.  Your body can immediately start to use them.  They do not have to break down the fiber to get to the nutrients.  All of the juice will be absorbed by your body.  When nutrients are taken in through synthetic supplements and foods, your body must work to break them down and it does not get the benefit immediately. 

Try juicing for weight loss because it is safe.  There are tons of benefits that you will see and feel from juicing.  You will want to make sure that you juice organic fruits and vegetables so that you don't consume the pesticides and make sure that you have a great juicing machine that extracts most of the juice from the fruits and vegetables.
