Metabolic Syndrome Is Linked To Midriff Fat

Metabolic syndrome is a group of health risk symptoms that occur together causing the risks of developing:

* Type II Diabetes- Studies have shown that being over weight can cause pre-diabetes which means the blood sugar are above normal levels but not high enough to being diagnosed as full-blown diabetes but most pre-diabetes patients will develop Type II diabetes within ten years.Studies have shown that most people with pre-diabetes develop type II diabetes within 10 years. They stand a good chance of preventing diabetes if they can lose 5 to 7 percent of their weight and stay active.

* Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)- Studies have shown that the inflammation from the visceral fat which is in the midriff area have been linked to heart disease. Fat outside the arteries has been linked to heart disease also.

* Insulin Resistance Syndrome- The insulin in the body is secreted from the pancreas when the body consumes food. If the insulin does not effectively breakdown the food into glucose which is fed to the cells for energy then the body secretes more insulin to try and breakdown the glucose that is in the blood to keep normal levels in the blood. This spiking of insulin tell the metabolism to store fat instead of burning it. Thus, midriff fat is created.

* Kidney Disease- Being overweight is an health risks that increases your chances of having chronic kidney disease. High blood pressure and diabetes can help in renal failure (Kidney Failure) and these diseases can develop from excessive midriff fat.

* Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease- The liver has many important abilities like storing glycogen to help in releasing glucose when the body calls for it. This disease tends to appear in overweight people that have high cholesterol, high triglyceride levels and diabetes.

Metabolic syndrome is linked to midriff fat and that is the reason you must get rid of that excess fat that is hanging around your belly.
