Sort of! If you are expecting to sit on the couch all day long eating nothing but peanut butter you are in a for a big disappointment. The diet is based around peanut butter but only as part of an overhauled eating plan. For example you may be able to eat your favorite butter but you cannot put it on bread anymore.
Why peanut butter?

The reason the peanut butter probably works for those who follow it is more physiological than the fact it is a healthy eating plan. Dieters often feel deprived. In fact one way you can certainly increase your sugar cravings is by starting a diet. Even those who hate sweet things can suddenly want them when they begin a new diet. Being able to eat peanut butter and chocolate certainly helps to avoid the feelings of deprivation.
Losing weight means healthy eating and exercise
If you actually read the peanut butter diet, you will see the usual hints about healthy eating coming through. Small regular meals to help increase your metabolism and keep you feeling full, eating more carefully such as choosing tuna tinned in spring water rather than oil to avoid the extra calories etc.

The only long term way to lose weight and keep the excess pounds off is not to be found in a faddy diet plan or bottle of pills. You need to make better choices over the food you eat. Reduce your calorie intake by cooking food from scratch to avoid hidden fats, sugars and salt. Bake or steam foods rather than fry. Use products as close to their natural source as possible. This means ditching all the white food stuffs that have had all the nutrients bleached out of them. Eating more fish and healthy protein. Eating more fruit and vegetables and drinking more water.
There is no earth shattering revelations to be made about how to lose weight fast apart from to get up off your butt and start the process. You will be amazed at what you can achieve if you just follow these tips and engage your brain when making decisions about the food you eat or the exercise you take.
