A Diet Plan That Lasts!

A Diet Plan That Lasts!

We all know what happens with most diet plans. You quickly lose weight at first but soon it all comes back with interest. Afterwards, you find something new and start the process all over again. This is what is referred to as yo-yo dieting and it really is a viscous cycle. The only way to change your results is to change the way you go about achieving them.

The problem with most diets is that they are based around nice sounding gimmicks as apposed to real science. The fact is that if you are lacking in any nutrient(micro or macro) or vitamin, you will become unhealthy. Unhealthy people tend to pack on extra body mass and not be able to lose it. With this in mind, a successful diet plan is one that does not do anything too dramatic and make you malnourished. Simplicity is key in a plan that will yield results.

With exercise, countless hours of jogging and other low impact activities will do little more than make you sweat and wear out your joints. Good exercise boosts metabolism by putting stress on the body with intensity. It is the same principle that is used in building muscle. The body responds to this stress by breaking down fat reserves and building up muscle to support the activity. High intensity interval training is the best example of a workout best geared towards fat loss.

Most importantly, you have to have a plan that you will continue to do for the rest of your life. This is a lifestyle change, not a quick fix.If you try and take on to much at once, all that will happen is that you will end up breaking down and going back to your old ways. As you get used to each new lifestyle change, you can start to do more and more gradually. Rome was not built in a day.

Keeping these three key factors in check will put you well on your way to losing weight. This is really just a game of endurance and discipline. Going from crash diet to crash diet will only leave you more and more frustrated. Do not believe in fad diets without first doing your own research. You will see that just about all of them are making false claims based around buzzwords and pseudoscience! There are a few that do something for anyone willing to put in the time and effort, however.
