Easy Diets For College Students

If you gained the freshman 15 and looking for easy diets for college students, congrats on trying to lose the extra weight you put on. I know how it is, you go to college, you're own your own and can eat pretty much whatever you want. My freshman and sophomore year consisted of pizza, ramen noodles, and of course beer. Going to parties was probably the biggest contributor to my weight gain and I eventually had to figure out a way to get back into shape. So here is my list of meals you can eat to get rid of that freshman 15.

Chicken and Brown Rice

This is a killer combo to rev up the metabolism. The chicken has a high source protein and the brown rice has a lot of fiber, which helps you go number two. Seriously though, fiber helps with bowel movements which helps fight diseases and keeps you full longer. The recipe calls for:

  • 1 cup of cooked brown rice
  • 2 oz cooked chicken breast
  • 1 tsp Teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Water

First you are going to want to oil or spray the pan with butter. Then add the Teriyaki sauce, lemon juice, brown rice and chicken into the cooking pan. You should cook it on a medium heat and stir constantly. If you notice it becomes a little dry you can add water. Next you can add as much parmesan cheese as you like over the rice and chicken. Me personally I add a good amount. You then can add your favorite veggies to the meal.

Salmon and Sweet potatoes

Now this is my favorite recipe. I love salmon and sweet potatoes and it is healthy for you. Salmon has you omega 3, which is good for brain, vision, and heart health. It is also another great source of protein and low in fat. I know this is a cheesy saying but do you know how fish stay lean? They eat fish. I know, lame quote but its true. Now on to the sweet potatoes. They have a low glycemic level but are still a sweet treat. They are a good way to get your carbs into your diet. Carbs are good for increasing your energy. So don't go on those diets that clams you do not need carbs. You will be so tired and overworked it you try it. This recipe calls for:

  • Frozen or fresh salmon
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1000 island dressing

First you are going to pre-heat the oven to 345 degrees for about 10 minutes. Wrap the salmon into aluminium foil and place on a cooking sheet. Once the fish is in the over give it in about 15 mins or when the salmon is flaky. For the sweet potato, place into a pot and boil water. Wait until the potato get soft which takes about 45 minutes, then smash them. You can leave the skin on if you like.

Add a tsp of vanilla, butter, and a tsp of nutmeg and those sweet potatoes will be good to go. When the fish is done cooking, you can use the 1000 island dressing for the sauce.

I hope you enjoyed these easy diets for college students. These are my two favorite diet meal that help me lose my freshman 15. I hope these will help you also with your diet goals and strip that fat.
