Fiber is in fact very important to losing weight as it keeps your intestines squeaky clean!

If you are not doing any running, you can still do some training! Even if you stay at home, you can do a ton of floor exercises like push ups, crunches, and squats. There really is no excuse to get a full body workout no matter where you are! If you happen to be injured and that is why you can not run, do take precautions to stay well away from the injured area in your training.

Even if you can not run, all the little things do add up. For example, if a friends house is within walking distance but you usually drive, you can start walking there and back. You can also be proactive about physical tasks in the workplace. Always having some activity in your day to day life is actually easier to do mentally than actually doing work outs. Often times, this approach can be just as effective too!

So you see, it is possible to lose weight without running or any other cardio for that matter. You just have to have everything else in check.
