Treadmill Vs Elliptical - Which Burns More Calores?

Trying to decide between a treadmill and elliptical? The number one question people have when shopping is: Which burns more calories: treadmill or elliptical?

This makes sense - you want to get the most bang for your workout buck right? Who wants to waste hours working out and not see results.

Unfortunately however, just comparing a treadmill vs elliptical may not tell you all the facts on which machine is best for calorie burning.

For example, if you're working at the top level of resistance on an elliptical and pumping the arm bars, you're going to be burning more calories than if you're walking on a flat plane treadmill with no incline at a low speed.

And to mix things up even more - there are now different types of treadmills and ellipticals coming out that burn more calories than traditional models.
