This Is What 200 Calories Of Your Favorite Foods Really Looks Likevar zeus = zeus

If we asked you to picture what 200 calories of popcorn or raisins looks like, could you do it? Yeah, didn't think so. That's why a new app called Calorific ($2.99) is so genius: Since translating the calorie info on a nutrition label can be so difficult, two men living in London decided to weigh, style, and photograph 200 calories' worth of more than 140 different foods and drinks—and put them all in the app. Granted, the calorie information comes from a combination of Fatsecret.com, Google nutrition search, and the products' own nutrition labels (we usually try to stick with info from the USDA Nutrient Database since it's the most legit). And calories definitely aren't the only nutrition info that matters—but it's still interesting to see the pictures. Click through to see 10 from the app's database—you might be surprised which foods are the most (and least) calorie-dense.
