Lose Weight Quickly 'Guaranteed': Is It A Scam?

When people want to lose quickly, if they see a ‘guarantee’ they are likely to be tempted towards that offer. Is is just sales talk though? Let’s find out more by looking at some facts.

Many people looking for a sudden loss have an event coming up – a wedding or a prom night or something. A high school reunion is another popular event. As the date draws closer, we realize how much we have put on over the years. Teenage competitiveness comes back into play and we want to make a good impression on our old friends … and perhaps even more on our old enemies!

But even if your wish to lose is more general and not related to an upcoming event, you would probably like to see the excess fat disappear as fast as possible. Let’s face it, if you ask the average dieter whether they want to lose quickly or lose slowly, it does not take a rocket scientist to work out which they will pick.

And this is true even though the majority of dieters know very well that there is more chance of their staying off if they lose it slowly. They know in their heads that 1 or 2 pounds a week is ideal, and more is not better … but it does not feel that way!

So there is a huge market for quick loss plans and products. But can they really guarantee that you will lose a certain amount of within a specified time?

Of course the answer is that they cannot. They may have clients who did lose 10 lb in 10 days or whatever it is, and it may even be true that if you take the average overeating person and put them on this diet then they will be likely to lose that amount, but they cannot guarantee it. Everybody’s circumstances are different. Nobody is average in fact!

So if you read the guarantee carefully, all they will usually say is that if you are not happy with your loss you can get your money back. This is not too risky for them because probably one of three things will happen:

1. You follow the diet, you lose whatever they guaranteed, and everything is fine.

2. You more or less follow the diet and maybe you don’t lose as much as they said but you are happy because you did lose some .

3. You don’t manage to stick to the diet and you don’t lose any , but you don’t claim a refund because you think this was your fault, even if the diet seemed impossible to follow.

Remember, the success of any diet depends on two main factors – the person’s metabolism and the person’s motivation. Neither of those things can be known by a sales pitch, so neither can be guaranteed. The best thing to do when it comes to quick loss of is to consider the facts of biology and nutrition.

So to sum up, there is no real way to guarantee quick loss, and you should not take too much notice of claims that you will lose a lot of fast. Slow and steady loss is the healthy route, however tempting it may sound to lose quickly.
