Fiber helps us feel fuller and it cleans up our digestive system so we are less likely to suffer from constipation. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also good source of antioxidants and vitamins which are both essential for our overall health. It is advisable to eat fresh fruits and vegetables without added creams and puddings because those are often rich in saturated fats and preservatives.

Know your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). If you know how fast your body can burn the calories that you take, you will know how much calories you should take everyday. If your body burns fats extra slower, it is advisable to refrain from eating fatty foods. To get your Basal Metabolic Rate, you just need to multiply your weight in pounds with 15 and add the product to your activity expenditure per day time. If you want to lose weight, you can subtract 500 kcal from your BMR

Do Not Skip Meals Many people tend to skip their regular meals thinking that by depriving themselves of food, their body will burn those fats stored in the body. Yes, it might and perhaps you will lose some weight in the process but it will not last. Skipping meals will only result to slower metabolic rate, and your body will not only burn your body fats but your muscle mass as well. When this happens, your body will have lesser energy to process and function well. Also, when you skip meals you will feel hungry by the minute which will result to binge eating. Do Little Exercises Not all people can last rigorous exercises and not everyone has the luxury of time to spend in the gym. When your schedule does not permit you to hit the gym, why not do little exercises everyday such as using the stairs instead of the elevator, or walking on the way to your office if it's only 5 corners away instead of riding your car or riding a taxi.
