4. Try to avoid white foods like white rice, sugar and white bread. These kinds of foods are rich in carbohydrates which lead to weight gain and to a higher blood sugar. Instead of eating your usual white bread, go for whole grain breads. Brown rice could be used in exchanged for your usual white rice because brown rice is more suited for people who are under a weight loss program.
